Over Two Decades of Auto Service to Bellevue!
Ali's Bellevue Auto Repair, like our other shop Ali's Woodinville Auto Repair, offers the most services and expertise of any area auto shop. For example, we handle all brake repairs: replace worn pads/linings, turn or cut rotors and/or drums, adjust and bleed system, repack wheel bearings, and replace calipers, wheel cylinders, and master cylinders. And, we provide wheel alignment for almost all sizes of vehicles---not every shop can offer that service.
This is also the right place for complete professional diagnostic equipment. This helps us to make sure we get the problem fixed right and repaired the first time. For the diagnosis of engines and engine repair, we offer fuel injection system diagnostics, ignition system diagnostics, and computerized engine control testing.

THE MOST COMMON AUTO REPAIR SERVICES
....and how often a vehicle may need to have this service performed on average.
-
Oil Change: This keeps the engine running smoothly. Most cars need an oil change every 3,000 to 7,000 miles, but check your owner's manual.
-
Brakes: Brakes are super important for safety. It's good to have them checked once a year or if you hear a squeaking sound. Brake pads wear out over time because of how much we use them. You might need new brake pads every 50,000 miles, but some wear out sooner--in the range of around 25,000 miles.
-
Air Filter Replacement: Dust and dirt can (and will eventually) clog them up. Clean air helps the engine. Most cars should get a new air filter about once a year or every 12,000 miles.
-
Battery Replacement: Your car battery lasts about 3-5 years on average. If your car has trouble starting, it might be time for a new battery.
-
Belts and Hoses: These can crack or break over time. We check these EVERY time a car is brought to us. Most cars might need them replaced every 40,000 to 60,000 miles.
-
Transmission Service: This helps your car switch gears. Most cars need service every 30,000 to 60,000 miles. If you think your transmission might be failing, it helps to know how long a transmission is expected to last before failure. Manual transmissions last between 60,000 to 120,000 miles. However, with excellent care, some can reach up to 200,000 miles. An automatic transmission can last between 100,000 to 200,000 miles. Again, with proper maintenance, some automatic transmissions can last even longer.
-
Wheel Alignment Service: It's good to check your alignment every 2 to 3 years. But if you drive on rough roads a lot, or notice any of the above signs, you should get it checked sooner. Also, certain occurrences can "knock" you out of alignment. Like hitting potholes or curbs, getting new tires, or having prolonged tire wear.
-
Car Suspension Service or Repair: It's a good idea to check your suspension at least once a year or every 12,000 to 15,000 miles. However, if you start to notice a change in how your car drives or feels, or hear noises, it's best to get it checked out sooner. There are many components to your suspension system, so a lot of different things must be checked, serviced, or repaired: Shocks and struts, ball joints, bushings, control arms, tie rod ends, etc.
Remember, every automobile has its own service schedule and parts that require slightly different services. Always check your car's owner's manual or ask your friends at Ali's Bellevue Auto Repair if you need any help. The GREAT NEWS for you and your vehicle is that Ali's Bellevue Auto Repair handles ALL of these preventative maintenance services and auto repairs at our shop, and can help you keep track of what needs to be done and when. Obviously, we do much more, so if you have a check engine light come on, you can just simply bring your car or truck to us and know that we can get it right!
